Taft hadn’t seen Laura in ten years when she left him practically at the altar and left town. Now she is a widow and back in town with two children, one with Down’s syndrome, to help her mother get her motel back in good working order. Laura’s cold shoulder to Taft is a challenge and his closeness with Laura’s children may be the key to thaw her out.
Will he find out why she left so suddenly ten years ago and can he make amends for the past?
I have read Harlequin books since I was in my early teens and jumped at the chance to read #10 in The Cowboys at Cold Creek series. I was not disappointed. This is a nice story with good, strong characters and I would like to go back and read more about Taft’s family and the tragedy that led to his misunderstanding with Laura.
