MY REVIEW
Bullet Wrecker is a novella about the consequences of war and its affect on family and friends.
Though the story is short, the depth of the story is real and heartbreaking. It takes us through Lee’s mental state after losing the use of his legs and how he deals with it. To add more hurt, he finds out his wife and best friend are having an affair. Though his wife and best friend could be perceived as the lowest of the low on the surface, the story includes their stories as well and what they are going through.
The book is a well-written, emotional roller coaster taking you from despair, anger, and forgiveness all within 79 pages. The letter Lee writes to Laura at the end brought tears to my eyes.
