The premise of Muses coming together to inspire humankind with Guardians sent to protect them while a fanatical secret order tries to eliminate them is a genius idea and the reason why I wanted to read this book. It didn’t disappoint!
Although they were mortal women only embodying the original Greek muses, each of her sisters had been chosen as a vessel—for reasons that were only clear to the gods themselves—to inspire the next generation of mankind. Together they’d worked and saved and pooled their money to buy the theater before it was marked for demolition, and together, they would restore it. The Theater of the Muses, Les Neufs Soeurs, would once again bring together the thinkers and artists and dreamers of the world.
I enjoyed Mel’s and Nate’s witty and sexy repertoire. The sexual tension and mutual attraction is palpable and they definitely fit each other well as Muse and Guardian. I loved how the author explored Nate’s tragic past and how Mel was his catalyst to truly trust and love someone.
I look forward to reading about how the other Muses and their Guardians face the group that is trying to murder them. A fun and interesting read with lots of love, mystery and mythology. Recommend highly!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lisa Kessler is a Best Selling author of dark paranormal fiction. She’s a two-time San Diego Book Award winner for Best Published Fantasy-Sci-fi-Horror and Best Published Romance. Her books have also won the PRISM award, the Award of Excellence, the National Excellence in Romantic Fiction Award, the Award of Merit from the Holt Medallion, and an International Digital Award for Best Paranormal.
