Welcome to the cutthroat world of advertising. No job is worth losing your identity and your family.

Kate is an ice queen who wants that promotion and will do anything to get it. Even lose sight of her integrity and self-worth. Her savage and denigrating tactics are just as bad or worse than her chauvinistic colleague, Garth. And in her determination to get ahead at work, she is losing her husband at home. Feeling lonely she finds a friend in an unexpected place.

Ellie is a beautiful young woman wanting to succeed in advertising, but she is blocked at every turn by the chauvinism and sexism in her workplace. With problems in her personal life as well as her work life, her choices seem bleak until she listens to some unsolicited advice.

Kate and Ellie are complete opposites when it comes to their life goals, but when they finally realize that working together is better than working at odds, the rules start to change.

Overall, this is an engrossing, unpleasant, and realistic story about a down and dirty competition in the workplace and the consequences it has on one’s personal life. If you like chick-lit with a few nasty backstabbing tactics and a HEA ending, give this book a try.
