You May Kiss the Bridesmaid [The Proposal] by Camilla Isley

You May Kiss the Bridesmaid

ABOUT THE BOOK

Archibald Hill is handsome, single, and he’s going to his best friend’s wedding ready to make a conquest or two. After all, everyone knows weddings are the perfect setting to get lucky.

Summer Knowles used to have a life—friends, family, a sister who’d do anything for her—until she blew it all away with a terrible mistake. Now, attending her twin’s wedding as the party’s undesirable number one seems like more than she can handle. So, when a tall stranger with smoldering ice-blue eyes offers her a therapy of seven nights of no-strings-attached fun, she might even ignore that he has a beard and accept.

Problem is, Summer has never been good at keeping sex and feelings separated…

MY REVIEW

After The Mistake, all she wants is marriage and a family. He is not the relationship type.

Summer messed up big time and she is staying away from men for a while. Once her twin sister, Winter’s wedding is over, and she can get away from the angry stares and hurtful remarks from the people she used to call friends, she can hopefully start to move on with her life. Who knew she would find a kindred spirit in the oh, so cocky and sexy best man, Archibald “Archie” Hill?  He’s the only thing that’s keeping her together with his cocksure grin, dirty foot massages, and his invitation to make her forget her name for the entire week. What could go wrong?

The sexual chemistry between Summer and Archie is soooo hot. With his bad boy vibe and her out-of-character willingness to have sex with no strings, is a fantastic combination. Watching Archie’s slow decline from a ladies man to a one-woman man is worth waiting for. The hot glances, clandestine hookups and his willingness to save her from the fall out of her life, is a selfless and memorable thing to see. Summer seriously screwed up with her best friend and her sister, but they have miraculously forgiven her and watching her stand up to the others is done with grace and humility.  Other characters to love are Summer’s sister, Winter, and her husband-to-be, Logan, as well as Logan’s friend, Tucker, who reluctantly becomes a pretty good wedding planner.

Overall, a standalone hilarious and romantic look at how opposites attract under the best and worst of circumstances, and how change isn’t all that bad. To err is human, to forgive divine.  I definitely plan to pick up the other books in this series. Recommend highly!

Thank you to Ms. Isley for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
