MY REVIEW

Wow! What a hot and suspenseful start to a MM MC series. This is book one in the Ruthless Kings MC: Baton Rouge series and my first K.L. Savage novel. But certainly not my last!

Rainbow, sexy alpha MC VP and firefighter falls for Ryan, a sassy and brave medic. Rainbow has become obsessed with Ryan and is determined to make him his, but Ryan knows from experience that only heartache comes with straight guys and he’s only in Baton Rouge temporarily. As their hot relationship builds so does a category five hurricane. Riding out the bad weather in the MC clubhouse with the other members, not only are they in danger of the storm but from an unhinged murderer who is killing off the Ruthless Kings one by one. Who is the killer and why are they targeting the club?

Rainbow is a good man who raised his young brother, Mime, after losing their parents in a tragic wildfire. They have been with the Ruthless Kings since their loss. Living with the guilt of his parents’ death Rainbow is determined to protect those he loves no matter how dangerous it is to his own life. When Rainbow meets Ryan, the attraction is instant which surprises them both. Rainbow has never been attracted to a man before and Ryan no longer dates straight guys or firefighters. But Rainbow is not averse to new things so he’s all in with Ryan, mind, body, and soul.

Ryan has been on his own since his family disowned him after he came out to them. To protect himself from more heartache, he created relationship rules, but they flew out the window the first time he looked into Rainbow’s beautiful eyes. Ryan is afraid of losing Rainbow who is not used to his lifestyle as a gay man, but Rainbow is a quick study and eager to learn as he becomes Ryan’s everything. But danger threatens to tear them apart.

I love Rainbow and Ryan’s story. Their honesty. trust, and unwavering love for each other makes for a lovely lasting relationship. Who can resist Rainbow’s alpha possessiveness and unending curiosity and Ryan’s sassy comebacks and yummy role reversals? I also love the openness of the Ruthless Kings and the way they have each others’ backs no matter who they are. Same with the guys at the fire station where Ryan and Rainbow work. There appears to be a number of good stories that could develop from the men in the MC. I look forward to reading Mime’s story. Rainbow’s dedicated younger brother who hasn’t spoken for many years after his parents’ tragic deaths. That will be one hell of a person if they can get him to talk.

I recommend this hot romance with non-stop action and adventure for those who can’t get enough of MCs, badass characters, and sexual awakenings MM style. Book 2 here I come.
