Love Me Stalk Me by Laura Bishop

ABOUT THE BOOK

LIZZY:
Downloading an AI boyfriend app was supposed to be harmless fun.
A digital distraction from my disaster-prone love life.

What I didn’t plan?
Programming it to look like Callahan–the tattooed, brooding head of loss prevention at my store.

Those green eyes that watch me a little too closely.
That jawline that makes my heart race for all the wrong reasons.

But it’s just an app, right?
No harm in confessing my darkest, filthiest fantasies to a bunch of code.
No one will ever know.

CALLAHAN:
I hacked her phone.
And no, I won’t pretend it was an accident.

From the moment I saw her with a man who couldn’t be bothered to look up from his screen, I knew–she should be mine.
Now I’m her new head of loss prevention, which means watching her is literally my job.
Then she downloaded an AI boyfriend, made him look exactly like me, and started sharing every delicious fantasy she’s kept hidden.

Except she’s not talking to an algorithm.
She’s talking to me.
And now that I know exactly what she needs, I’m not letting her go.

Love Me, Stalk Me is a dark romantic comedy. Reader discretion is advised, as the book deals with some possibly triggering themes, but in a humorous way (hopefully).

MY REVIEW

This debut book is amazing! I can’t get enough of that moment when Izzy and Callahan’s eyes meet from across the restaurant—his gaze is all-knowing, and hers is desperate for a change. Their story is a mix of dark and beautiful at the same time.

Have you ever wanted things to change, but were too scared to do so?  That’s Isabella “Izzy” Russo. This woman has clawed her way to the top, becoming the store manager at an elite retail establishment. She’s a powerhouse at work—proud, efficient, and respected by her peers. But here’s the kicker, her success is overshadowed by her scummy boyfriend Evan. With his narcissistic gaslighting and controlling tendencies, he does nothing but weigh her down. Seriously, if I could, I’d jump right through the pages and give him a good backhand! That guy needs a reality check.

Enter Callahan Knight. He’s this brooding, rugged military man who lives life like a wanderer, and shows up like a breath of fresh air, determined to build Izzy’s confidence and self-worth. He’s got that cool confidence and is fiercely protective, but he’s not just standing in the background. He really encourages her to be independent while being there for her emotionally and physically. Honestly, he’s everything I look for in a MMC—protective, reliable, and super present. It totally pulls me in every single time! Is he a stalker? Perhaps, but I’ll take him over her nasty ex anytime.

Izzy and Callahan are total opposites, but their vibe is electric. I was cracking up at so many parts, especially when Izzy was driving like a maniac, and Callahan was trying to keep his cool while totally freaking out inside. And don’t even get me started on Izzy’s wild Italian family, they were hilarious! Plus, her super loyal and sassy friend, Amanda, was always there for her.

I highly recommend this intriguing story about moving beyond fear, reclaiming your worth, and knowing that sometimes, your knight might just be the one to show you that you’re already a warrior in your own right.  From the sexy dedication to the satisfying happily ever after, Ms. Bishop has won this reader over.

Thank you to Ms. Bishop for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Laura BishopLaura Bishop writes books about obsessive men, clever women, and the dangerously thin line between love and psychological warfare. She lives in sunny Florida, where the skies are blue, the humidity is high, and her search history is a federal red flag.

A military spouse and full-time wrangler of two wildly energetic boys, Laura survives on caffeine, chaos, and the occasional quiet moment when everyone’s finally asleep—aka prime stalking-I-mean-writing time.

When she’s not plotting morally gray love stories with unhinged fictional boyfriends, she’s daydreaming about what it would be like to have a personal assistant who doesn’t eat goldfish crackers for breakfast.

Love Me, Stalk Me is her debut into the world of dark romantic comedy, where every red flag is just another reason to fall harder.
