Betrayed by Claire Robyns

I started my book review blog in 2009 and I have read so many outstanding books that I wanted to share them again with my followers on #SegueSaturday.  I first posted this review in July 2010.  This is a debut highlander romance by Claire Robyns who has gone on to write contemporary romance series, steampunk/paranormal series, and cozy mystery series.

I am always a sucker for Highlander romances and I love the electricity between Amber and Krayne. Enjoy!

MY REVIEW

Amber Jardin is young, foolish, headstrong and ripe for someone to tame her fiery temper.  She had no kin left other than her uncle who despised her and wanted to marry her off to the nearest ruffian to get rid of her.  As she tries to save her friend from sure death, she is kidnapped by Krayne Johnstone, “The Grey Wolf”, and held for ransom.

Krayne Johnstone is known for his victories in battle and his hard resolve to punish Amber for being his enemy, but destiny brings them together for better or worse and boy, do the sparks fly!

Ms. Robyns leaves no prisoners with her debut action-packed romance.  I am a big fan of highlander romances and this one did not disappoint.

Thank you to Ms. Robyns, Carina Press and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review this ebook.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Claire RobynsI love to write mystery, romance, and adventure, because sometimes one life really can have it all (between the pages of a book, at least.) When I’m not thigh-deep in laundry, shopping, cooking, and general crowd control, you’ll find me head-and-heart-deep in the tangled lives of my characters.
