ABOUT THE BOOK
Callum Frost is a billionaire CEO with a Manhattan penthouse, a venture capital empire, and a staff turnover rate that should come with a warning label. He’s demanding, exacting, and so controlled that even his hair looks like it’s been given instructions.
I walked into his office, fixed a travel crisis his entire team couldn’t solve, and walked out.
He’s been chasing me ever since.
Late-night texts. Doubled the fees I set specifically to scare him off. His number is blocked, and his messages still somehow land in my inbox. When he asked me to be his executive assistant, I told him it would take a traumatic brain injury.
But Callum Frost doesn’t hear no. And when he showed up uninvited to my parents’ anniversary party in North Carolina—played the devoted boyfriend, held my hand, kissed me like the whole room wasn’t watching—I stopped saying it.
I agreed to six months. A contract. The office next to his. Professional boundaries that lasted about as long as you’d expect when the man on the other side of the wall is nothing like the cold, controlling CEO I thought I knew.
Now I’m fourteen weeks pregnant, and the six-month expiration date on this arrangement just became irrelevant.
MY REVIEW
This romance offers a satisfyingly sweet yet spicy journey that caught me off guard in the best way possible. I’m definitely adding this author to my favorites list.
Deena Brand is everything I love in a strong, fiery travel coordinator. She’s confident, unassuming, and unapologetically herself, refusing to back down to anyone, especially Callum Frost, her new boss. Watching her navigate her relationship with Cal is a delight. The dynamic between them is electric and full of tension that’s both deliciously steamy and frustrating.
Callum is the brooding billionaire who has a bit of a control problem. He’s that overprotective, gorgeous man who makes your heart race, but there’s so much more under the surface. With childhood wounds that haunt him, Cal is all about keeping those he loves safe. However, his fear of letting go and allowing himself to be vulnerable is holding him back.
What truly hooked me was how relatable both characters are. You root for them because you see their flaws and growth potential. The author crafts their journey with such skill that the pages practically turn themselves.
In addition, Callum’s sister Erica and her adorable daughter Lila, are both amazing supporting characters, and their love for Callum is beautiful.
If you’re a fan of deeply emotional moments, sizzling chemistry, and characters who challenge each other and themselves, this is the read for you. Time for me to go back and read the previous books in this series.
Thank you to Ms. Monroe for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lilian Monroe adores writing swoonworthy heroes and the women who bring them to their knees. She loves making people laugh and is eternally grateful to have found people who share her sense of humor.
When she’s not writing, she’s reading (or rereading) a book, walking, lifting weights, or attempting to play the guitar with very limited success.
She grew up in Canada but now lives in Australia with her Irish husband. He frequently asks to be used as a cover model for her books, and she’s not quite sure whether or not he’s joking.
