Gray Apocalypse by James Murdoch

I started my book review blog in 2009 and I have read so many outstanding books that I wanted to share them again with my followers on #SegueSaturday.  I first posted this review in May 2009.  A fast-paced science fiction page-turner.  Enjoy!

MY REVIEW

Kendon stared at his hands. They were trembling. He closed his eyes in an effort to escape the real world, if only for a moment, but his mind immediately thrust even more deeply into the hopelessness of their situation: The same images that had been intruding into his head ever since his arrest appeared again. It was a vision of an enormous spacecraft hovering above and behind an asteroid the size of a mountain.

An excellent sci-fi story filled with action and suspense! There are only three days left before the Earth is destroyed by a giant asteroid which is being guided by aliens.

Michael Kendon is a former assassin and healer who is the sole survivor of a resistance movement and he is Earth’s only hope for survival. He has only three suspense-filled days left to locate a special weapon used to deflect the asteroid and he has the help of Laura Meller, daughter of the deceased leader of the resistance.

An unforgettable tale of human persistence and survival!
