Holy cow! I had the absolute pleasure of reading a new favorite romance with two unforgettable characters. Adriana and Lochlan are vibrant and bold as they navigate their way through gunfire and family loyalty to find a love like no other.
Lochlan is everything you could dream of—patient, charming, and protective with a soft spot for mint chocolate ice cream. Seriously, how much more can you swoon over a character? Watching him care for Adriana, who is anything but ordinary, is such a joy. He’s the kind of guy who trusts her to take charge of her family’s business while he’s right there supporting her without having to take over.
Adriana is a total badass—calm, cool, and the CEO of her own tech consulting firm, which she built from scratch. The struggle she faces taking the reins of a family business she can’t stand while being pushed into an arranged marriage is nothing short of awe-inspiring. But her journey isn’t without its obstacles. Her initial mistrust of Lochlan, whose family is the enemy, is so relatable, and watching her force him to prove himself at every turn is gripping.
Lochlan and Adriana are made for each other. The tension between them is stunning, and I could not put this book down until they had their happily-ever-after.Â
Ms. Luciani really raises the bar for mafia romance with this one. Her writing is engaging, and the emotional depth and character development are just off the charts. And with Lochlan’s supportive brothers and Adriana’s fiery sister, I’m itching to see what’s next in this series.
