MY REVIEW
This is book 4 in the series and the third book I’ve read in the series. It didn’t disappoint.
But she was right, damn her. He had to face his demons, because since she had forced him to see how they controlled him still, he now realised how much they defined him…when he was so much more than that.
I fell for the meticulous and thorough barrister Lord Hadleigh and the demons in his past that only Penny could help him face. I also have great respect for Lady Penhurst who was determined to put her life back together after the scandal of her marriage to a traitor.
The past is the past, but the future is unwritten. None of us can truly ever know what that path holds. The best we can do is hope we’ve made the correct decision as to who we walk down it with. Such a decision allows for some dithering at the crossroads.
This romantic story is about two complex and wounded people finding love for the first time, and as all of Ms. Heath’s books do for me, it evoked many different emotions which is, in my opinion, a mark of a good book. My only regret is that this is the final book in the series. Recommend highly!
Thank you again to Ms. Heath for giving me the opportunity to review this book with no expectations of a positive review given.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
When Virginia Heath was a little girl it took her ages to fall asleep, so she made up stories in her head to help pass the time while she was staring at the ceiling. As she got older, the stories became more complicated, sometimes taking weeks to get to the happy ending. Then one day, she decided to embrace the insomnia and start writing them down. Despite that, it still takes her forever to fall asleep.
