Adventurous Me (Bliss Series, #1) by Deanndra Hall
ABOUT THE BOOK
“Boring? Tiresome? Predictable? We’ll see about that.”
When Trish’s husband of almost 30 years announces that he’s leaving her because she’s “boring”, she sets out to find an adventure. Her attempt to drink her heartbreak away drops her onto a handsome gentleman who invites her to have an adventure, and Trish can’t help but say yes.
She embarks on that adventure, but her path keeps crossing with that of another – Clint Winstead, a Dominant at the club Bliss and the one person in the place who seems to despise her. And that’s fine with Trish. After all, there are plenty of other Doms there who want to play.
But when an annual event at the club throws Trish and Clint together for two weeks, both of them are horrified, not by the pairing, but by the feelings they’re trying hard to deny. As the time passes, it’s harder and harder to deny what they know is true – that is, until one nearly-tragic incident that almost changes both their lives irreparably. And when Trish realizes that continuing on with her commitment could cost her the ultimate – her life – she knows that it has to end. But does it?
Trish is the queen of second chances. But this second chance might just come at a price too high to pay. A little adventure is a good thing, but perhaps she’s gotten far more adventure than she can handle.
Warning: This book contains explicit sexual situations and BDSM themes. It is not suitable for listeners under the age of 18. Listener discretion is advised.
Welcome to my spot on the Release Blitz for Adventurous Me by Deanndra Hall. This is my third novel by this author with a different story altogether. I have read my share of erotica, but only a few with this much BDSM in it. It’s definitely an eye-opener and far beyond my experience but to each his own.
Trish is one gutsy woman. Choosing the BDSM scene at 49 years old certainly is a big change. After all, what has she got to lose. Her ass of a husband just dumped her calling her boring and she quit her job. So the adventure begins.
The hot and volatile Clint wanted Trish from the moment he saw her and with her new club friend Dave’s sleight of hand, she was paired with Clint for two weeks. Two weeks as sub and dom. Two weeks of Clint’s unpredictable behavior. Two weeks of her losing her heart to a man who set her up for failure.
As audiobooks go, this was a pleasant change just to lie back and listen to a good book. Personally, I give the narrator, Anneliese Rennie, kudos for tackling such difficult and graphic subject matter. However, as narrators go, I felt her intonations and vocal changes for the characters to be lacking and sometimes hard to listen to.
This is a full-length erotic romance between an honorable woman and a broken man. There are many sexual triggers in this book and there were some things I even flinched at, but there is truly a love story in here as well. Sit back with a glass of wine, and be prepared for an over-the-top sensual ride filled with desire, conflict, and awakenings.
Thank you to Ms. Hall for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Deanndra Hall is a working author living in the far western end of the beautiful Bluegrass State with her husband of over 35 years and small menagerie of weird little dogs. When she’s not writing, she’s editing. When she’s doing neither of those two things, she’s having dinner with friends, spending time with family, kayaking, eating chocolate, drinking beer or moonshine, or looking for something that she put in the wrong place and can’t seem to find (which is pretty much everything she owns).
