MY REVIEW
This story was previously published as Imperfect in 2017. As book one of a duet, I knew there would be a cliffhanger, but what a whopper.
Whether what I’m doing is right or wrong, it doesn’t matter. I need a change.
Julia is a young widow and a poet trying to move on with her very public private life and when she has a one-night stand with the very hot developer Mason Thatcher, it turns into a whirlwind of mind-blowing sex and a promise to keep their affair secret. It’s just sex for Julia at first, but Mason’s charm and commitment to making her happy have changed her mind. Then reality hits and what Julia knew about her dead husband is all a lie.
We’re both in pain. Both getting over something. Only this shit I did to myself whereas she’s collateral damage.
She is forbidden, but Mason cannot stay away from Julia no matter what the past reveals. His guilt and secrets are a great burden, but she’ll never know the truth about what really happened to her husband. He can’t lose her. She’s the only bright spot in his miserable life and he will not let her go.
The chemistry between Julia and Mason is off the charts and I love how sweet and demanding Mason is with her. He’s an alpha with a commanding presence, but he says the most romantic and heartfelt things to her. They are both vulnerable, but I think Mason is more so. His business is going to ruin, his father is a slimeball, and his secret is destroying him. The way he tries to hold everything together by keeping so much from her is bound to come to a head and with the cliffhanger ending, I’m sure it’s going to be a shitshow in part 2. As for Julia, she has some issues of her own to contend with, but she has her friends to support her through the bad times. Sue is the sexy, confident, and bitter divorcee. Kat is the married one. And Maddie is the romantic living vicariously through Julia.
If you like alpha males that hold destructive secrets and females who will hopefully rise from the ashes, I recommend you give this one a try. I can’t wait to see what happens in You Are My Hope.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read smut and I read EVERYTHING. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. And I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?
I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have so many fans. And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my two littles (Jax who’s two and a half and Evie who just turned one!) during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a fan and it makes me want to push through and keep writing. And I do. I promise I won’t stop!
