Zach O’Meara is my person. My it. My dream man.
I’m not normally a novella fan, but I couldn’t resist a story of a protective, endearing big teddy bear of a guy and a beautiful and kind cheerleader who has loved him all of her life.
Jill is the lead cheerleader on her squad and has been waiting all her life for Zach, the big beautiful defensive lineman and brother of her best friend, to notice her and ask her to homecoming. However, the man of few words keeps his feelings sealed up tight. Little does she know he feels the same about her, but she can’t possibly like a large guy like him. He is resigned to protecting her and loving her from afar until she takes charge the night of the football game in the back of the bus. Way to go, Jill!
I exist to guard her and love her. That’s what I do.
Zach is adorable and noble, and I love how he has always been protective of Jill. They are both virgins and I commend Zach for setting rules, but we all know how that goes with horny teenagers and Jill is not taking no for an answer. Jill has her own self-image issues thinking she is too flighty and unintelligent, but she is kind and giving and I like how she finally just says fuck it and goes after what she wants.
This is a sweet, sexy book with dirty talk and lots of steam. It was a fun book to fill in my downtime between blog tours and I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Kane.
