Jenna Dawson is not having a good year. In fact, she’s probably on Santa’s Naughty list.
No, that’s not a cheesy line. Her boss literally makes a “naughty or nice” list every year for his employees, and her endless arguments & late-night sessions with him have landed her on the former.
But fate suddenly gives her a break when Saint A**hole nears the brink of being deported back to his home country.
And he has the audacity to ask her for a favor…
All she has to do is find him a fiancée for the holidays, and she’ll get a bonus and a much-deserved break.
At least, that was what she thought before she was forced to step into the role herself…
From New York Times bestselling author Whitney G. comes a hilarious ‘marriage-for-convenience’ romance for fans of Four Christmases and The Proposal.
MY REVIEW
This novella is everything I wanted it to be. It is a hilarious battle of wits between a controlling boss and his mouthy assistant. Let the comedy begin!
To Jenna Dawson, her wealthy, entitled boss Nicholas Saint is the Grinch, Ebenezer Scrooge, and Krampus all rolled into one. She works her butt off to do his bidding and receives nothing in return—notably, the lack of a Christmas bonus at the end of each year. His naughty or nice list is legendary, and she has been on his naughty list since she started.
Nicholas Saint, a cocky, self-centered CEO, is set to inherit a shitload of money, but his grandfather’s unexpected clause requires him to be married to receive it. Who on earth can he find to be his fake fiancée for a few weeks? You guessed it…his sassy, sexy assistant, Jenna Dawson. With a hefty incentive to get her to agree, they now have to fool their family and the trust adviser who is making sure they are legit.
The scathing banter and the combustible chemistry are so worth the read. I can’t count how many times I laughed out loud at Jenna and Nicholas’ antics. But it’s the growing attraction that drew me in with Nicholas’ dirty mouth and Jenna’s fiery responses.
Add in the crazy family units, including Nicholas’ inappropriate, free-spirited mother and Jenna’s loving, supportive family, and it rounds out a happily ever after that left me wishing for more.
If you enjoy fun, spicy holiday charm, give this book a try.
Thank you to Ms. G. for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
