Ella is on the run with Lucas. The man she loves and who keeps her safe. His evil father, Andrew, wants her punished in a brutal way to get her out of his son’s life to marry another. But when Lucas lies to her, she must return to the house of horrors and take matters into her own hands. Will Lucas be able to save her in time?

I was anxious to continue the story of Ella and Lucas when book 1 ended in a cliffhanger and it didn’t disappoint. It is as fast-paced and as captivating as the first book with more secrets about Lucas’ dysfunctional family and a cast of some old and new characters.  In all, a great ending to a short series.  I recommend that one read A Deadly Obsession to get a better understanding of the plotline for book 2.
