MY REVIEW
She’s a messy, chaotic lawbreaker and he’s a controlled, rule-following, grumpy ass. It’s one hell of a sexy hot opposites attract match made in heaven!
Holy buckets of yum! Don’t you just love the controlled broody types who are dirty-talking sex Gods in bed? Sheriff Brady McKenzie is that guy and Luna Lancaster can certainly push his buttons. And to make it more interesting…the sheriff has more broody brothers. Hot dog!
Luna Lancaster is a free spirit, activist, yoga instructor, and lawbreaker who has met her match with the hot, broody local sheriff. Living out of her van and chaining herself to trees to save the environment are causing negative attention which affects the livelihood of keeping Sheriff Brady McKenzie’s family resort running. So a dubious deal is made between two rivals. Luna cools her protests if Brady fast-tracks her paperwork to cease construction of a shopping mall. But that’s not all. Brady will take yoga lessons and a massage from Luna to pull the stick out of his ass, and last but not least…a kiss that changes everything.
The chemistry between these two is hot, hot, hot. The grumpy Brady is a good guy with protective instincts and the energetic, independent Luna is surprisingly willing to let him take care of her in bed and out. The banter is hilarious as well as vulnerable as they get to know each other’s quirks and pasts. Luna basically raised herself with a flighty mother and workaholic father and Brady lost his way when his mother died, his father went off the rails, and his brothers and sisters are barely hanging on to the family business. The author does a wonderful job developing the protagonists and involving Brady’s family and kooky local characters as they all work together to save the resort, save the environment, and bring Luna and Brady together. I can’t wait to read Beck and Everly’s story next.
If you love enemies-to-lovers and opposites attract with a lot of laughs and steamy sex, give this fun start to a new series a try. It won’t disappoint.
