MY REVIEW

Good god! Hans is all kinds of possessive bad boy YUM!!! This is the last book in the Alliance series about Hans and Cassandra and my first S.J. Tilly story. And you bet your brass knuckles I promise to go back and read Nero’s, King’s, and Dom’s stories as well.

Cassandra Cantrell is the sunshine to Han’s grumpy. The light to his dark. The sassy to his growly. The “girly girl to the intense assassin”. Unknown to Cassandra, Hans has been watching his curvy neighbor since she moved in a year ago. She is his obsession. His Butterfly. But she can’t see his dark side… until she does, and she finds it sexy and learns to understand the man beneath the anger. She trusts him with her life and now it’s in danger.

He’s so perfect. By not being perfect at all.

Hans is a controlled and concise cold-blooded killer. It broke my heart to learn about his devastating loss so many years ago that turned his hopes and dreams of the life he could have had into guilt-ridden vengeance and isolation. But Cassandra’s acceptance and goodness bring out his human side again. His protectiveness toward her is crazy obsessive and it is magnificent to watch as he counts down from one to three doling out naughty punishments. The dark humor is epic from Hans’ eating Cassandra’s awful cookies because she made them, to his beheading of the men who dared to touch the Post-It notes she placed on his cookie containers. And let’s not forget that he carries his own body bags. Priceless!!

Cassandra is kind and sassy as she falls for the gorgeous Viking next door. I love seeing Hans through her eyes as she discovers the vulnerable and lonely man he is and takes his unbelievable Batman-like lifestyle all in stride. What Cassandra does for Hans is everything to him. She’s his second chance and his new beginning. She frees his twenty years of vengeance to find peace, love, and friendship with the Alliance as well as Karmine and her band of fucking awesome women who help him kill evil scumbags.

HANS is a perfect blend of action, humor, and romance. The author skillfully weaves together a gripping narrative that slowly builds into non-stop action and the humor adds a delightful layer to the story, balancing out the intense moments with lightheartedness. However, what truly stole my heart was the enchanting love story. The way Hans and Cassandra’s love grows and evolves feels authentic in a deranged and captivating way. It’s a love story that lingers long after you’ve turned the last page.

If you want a book that will keep you enthralled, make you laugh, and leave you feeling extremely satisfied, look no further. I guarantee that once you pick up this book, you won’t be able to put it down. So go ahead and lose yourself in its pages, and prepare to be captivated by the magic within.
