MY REVIEW
Book 3 in the Cole Brothers series throws us into the dangerous business of gun smuggling and human trafficking. Tyler Cole is an ATF agent going undercover to stop a mob boss merger between the manipulative and volatile Jac Rossi and Mia Torelli, the beautiful and stubborn woman he loves.
What’s Tyler to do? He’s finally able to be a part of a mission to bring Jac Rossi down and stop the human trafficking ring he witnessed when his brothers Wesley and Zack rescued a young woman from a life of terror. But the mob boss and woman he had a one-night stand with is a criminal and carrying a secret that will change their life forever. Can he keep her safe and stop the FBI from arresting her while he solves the case?
In true Hicks fashion, the characters are well-written and the suspense is high. Tyler and Mia have a lot of obstacles to overcome and the author’s twist on the whole criminal/agent falling in love thing is an interesting plot in and of itself. My favorite character is Vic, Mia’s bodyguard, and right-hand man. He’s gruff and menacing, but he loves Mia as his own daughter.
I have been reading the sexy Cole Brothers series from the beginning and Book 3 does not disappoint. I look forward to the next one.
