I can always depend on Diana A. Hicks to give me a great Cole Brothers story. A beautiful artist and musician returns home to discover her estranged brother is in the jungles of Venezuela. With the help of the only man she has ever loved, they plan to rescue the only family she has from an extremely dangerous situation.

Anabelle hoped to see her brother Charlie after eight years when she returned to her home in Atlanta, but he’s not there. Wesley is there instead. The man she has had a crush on since she was a child and the only man capable of saving her brother and his best friend from himself.  But are her hopes too high?  Could it be that Charlie still hates her for what she did to her parents?

Wesley needs to tell Anabelle the truth about what he did. Would she forgive him for doing something so selfish? She was his North Star during the worst part of his mission.  She was his only hope for sanity after leaving her brother in Venezuela. He knows he shouldn’t take her there to find Charlie, but how can he say no to the woman he loves?

Anabelle and Wesley’s story is complicated and full of twists and turns. Their love and heartbreak for Charlie is so genuine and understandable and the way they come together to find him is wonderful to watch.

This is a fast-paced adventure into the jungles of Venezuela, drug cartels, and human trafficking. But most of all this is a love story between two lost souls who find hope and comfort in each other’s arms. Recommend highly!
