For single mom Tristan Maddox, moving to the small town of Broward, Georgia is the opportunity she needs to provide her daughter with a better life. A bigger house where they can each have their own bedroom, a backyard to play in, a place where they can put down roots and be part of a community, are all part of the reason she chose Broward as their new home. Nowhere on that list was her sexy next door neighbor, Owen, his adorably affable dog, Huck, or his crazy family.

Owen Gallahanger is perfectly content with his life the way it is. He has a job he loves, a family that he can count on, even if they drive him crazy most of the time, and his loyal sidekick, Huck. He isn’t looking for anything more, but after meeting Tristan and her daughter, he quickly realizes exactly what he is missing.

But not everyone is happy that Tristan is in Broward. As an unknown threat continues to escalate, Owen has to fight to protect the woman he loves, and their future together, or risk losing everything.

MY REVIEW

Owen Gallahanger’s family legend has come through. He is brought face to face with his destiny… his mo chuisle mo chori (my pulse of my heart). Her name is Tristan Maddox and she has moved to Georgia from D.C. to get away from her daughter, Stella’s formidable and demanding grandmother. Little does Tristan know that Owen Gallahanger, his dog, Huck, and his wonderful family would find a place in her and Stella’s hearts.

I love this romantic story filled with a sexy chief of police, a strong and capable nurse and mother of an adorable three-year-old girl, and a doggy drama queen named Huck. Owen’s determination to prove his love for Tristan and Stella is honorable and oh, so sexy and Tristan’s caution to trust is understandable considering her past. But the delightful and cute Stella steals the scene with her love for My Huck and ice cream and her unavoidable way of wrapping everyone around her little finger.  The supporting characters are also a plus in this book where I suspect there are future love stories in the making. Let’s not forget there are several LOL moments such as the Olaf pancakes and there is a dangerous back story that surprised this reader.

I look forward to reading more books in the Town of Broward series by Hanna Dale. If you love sweet romances with gorgeous brothers, adorable children, and loyal dogs, give this book a try.  Recommend highly.

Thank you to Ms. Dale for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
