MY REVIEW

Welcome to my slot on the Point of No Return book written by Tanya Jean Russell and organized by Rachel’s Random Resources. I’ve always been a big fan of romantic suspense and was interested in a plot to take down smugglers of a chemical weapon.

Jake Williams is undercover as a pilot for Great Britain Air trying to find who is behind a terrorist plot to smuggle a chemical weapon into the country.  His flight crew is under suspicion and he has been keeping them at a distance and checking them out one by one, but when Bree Phillips joins the crew he realizes she affects him like no other. “There’s no one that good. She’s up to something”. She has piqued his curiosity because she resists him in every way.  What is she hiding? He can’t afford the distraction, people’s lives are in jeopardy and he needs to find the terrorists before it’s too late.

Bree Phillips is so excited to be a part of the Great Britain Air crew. It has been her dream for years and she had to put it on hold to take care of her grandfather and run his cafe after her grandmother died. When her grandad sold the cafe, she trained immediately and got her wings and is working alongside her oldest friend, Simon. Everything is going fine until she accidentally slugs the captain of her flight with her bag. He didn’t take it well, and he made her feel incompetent all of the time.  No sweat. She will kill him with kindness.  When he reluctantly becomes her friend she comes upon a scene from a James Bond movie that will seal her fate and become ensnared with his mission in more ways than one.

I enjoyed Bree and Jake’s story beginning with a slow burn full of secrets and lies and morphing into a run-for-your-life thriller which uncovers more than Jake’s identity, but other supporting characters’ identities as well.  Recommend highly!

Thank you to Ms. Russell for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tanya RussellTanya Jean lives in England with her award-winning performer husband, Fisher Stevens, and their two teenage boys.

She has always loved (been obsessive about) books, and has an embarrassingly huge and ever-growing pile of things that she just ‘has’ to read, next to her bed.

The Cabin Crew Series, Broken Trust & Point of No Return, allowed her to combine her love of writing with her experiences of working in the airline world.

She squeezes her writing (daydreaming…) around her family and her day job, and is convinced that chocolate & diet coke should be considered a well-balanced diet.
