Kat and Johnny are back in the third and final installment of the Enchanted Gods series. She has finally moved on after her Fated left her over a year ago. When he returns, her relationship with her best friend is damaged but that’s the least of her problems. Her deadly enemy is threatening to kill the people she loves if she doesn’t tell him where the Solstice energy force is.
Kat’s heart broke when Johnny left on his revenge mission to find and destroy Erebus, the enemy that killed his family. If it weren’t for her friend Alec, she wouldn’t have recovered from losing Johnny, her Fated one. Johnny returns the same night Erebus threatens Kat to find the Solstice energy source or her loved ones will die. As Johnny wins her back, they work together to eliminate Erebus forever, but it may mean the ultimate sacrifice for Kat who is the only being alive who is half Enchanter, half Equinox (which she shares with Erebus). Will she make a deal with the devil?
Kat is strong and reckless, and she is determined to rid the world of an unrelenting foe at all costs. She is matured into the true leader she is meant to be as she comes up with a way to save a friend from death and agrees to a dangerous, and possibly irreversible, plan of shutting Erebus down. Johnny is a good man who made a mistake. However, what he learned by tracking Erebus for over a year helps the community in many ways. Johnny is racked with guilt as he promises never to leave her again. It takes everything from him to watch Kat put herself in danger time and time again, but it is what she is destined for. Kat and Johnny finally get their happily ever after and there is a wonderful surprise supporting character who appears as well.
I highly recommend this enchanting romantic story that is filled with love, forgiveness, and lots of suspense. I suggest you read the entire series to get the full effect of the story. See my reviews for Cursed and Fated.
Thank you to Ms. Allen for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
