Tramp (Hush #1) by Mary Elizabeth
ABOUT THE BOOK
Lydia Montgomery is a Tramp.
After fleeing a tragic past, Lydia’s determined never to go back to the life she left behind at any price. She lands in Grand Haven, California—a city booming with billion-dollar corporations and tech money—and everything changes. Armed with the only lesson she learned from her mother, Lydia builds a life of routine, solitude, and success.
Nothing is out of reach when you’re beautiful.
Nearly a decade after her arrival, Lydia’s the highest paid escort in the city, and only the most influential people in Grand Haven can get near her. She’s a goddess among her clients, and out of reach to everyone else. Lydia’s created the perfect illusion, and no one will take it from her again. Until a misunderstanding lands her in the office of the city’s most eligible bachelor.
Talent Ridge is Grand Haven royalty. Despite running in the same circles as Lydia’s clients, he’s scandal-free and on his way to being the most powerful man in the area. Their chemistry is undeniable, but a relationship has the potential to destroy everything they’ve worked for. Especially when Lydia is running from her past, and Talent is running toward a future she can never be a part of.
Beauty and money can’t save them this time. Are Lydia and Talent willing to give it all up for each other, or will their differences cost too much?
MY REVIEW
What do you get when you pair the most sought-after call girl in the city with a handsome millionaire lawyer with secrets? An interesting twist on a romance.
Lydia Montgomery, aka Cara Smith, is about to embark on a journey that will change her lonely and predictable life forever. Inez Ricci, the owner of an exclusive escort service called Hush, saved a young Lydia from the streets and made her Hush’s top escort in Grand Haven. When an opportunity to bring in a new millionaire client presents itself, Lydia is sent to his office against her better judgment. Who knew the handsome Talent Ridge would be her savior from herself?
Lydia and Talent are two very lonely people who wear masks at work and come alive in each other’s arms. I love how Talent pursues Lydia relentlessly even though their relationship appears to be doomed from the start. It’s got to be tough realizing the woman you are attracted to sleeps with other men for money, but he sees her for the vulnerable and unloved young woman she is. Lydia may act tough on the outside (and she does it very well), but her horrible and sad upbringing as well as her secret profession, have kept her isolated and friendless. Talent also has issues with his very public life and he holds a secret that could have blown everything. But love prevails and Lydia fills that hole in his heart that has hardened over the years. They both bring out the best in each other which is fun to watch.
Lydia’s new mentee and friend, Camilla, is kind and not the typical escort type. She doesn’t come from the same background that Lydia does and she holds her past life close to the chest. I can’t wait to read more about her. Wilder, Talent’s brother, is also a mysterious dude who I had misgivings about at first, but he slowly grew on me, especially when Lydia spent time with the Ridge brothers and their charming father. Inez is also a big part of Lydia’s life as she proves how much she truly cares about Lydia’s future.
I highly recommend this new take on a Pretty Woman type romance where life choices don’t have to define your future. Wonderful characters with a bit of suspense are always a good choice. On to book 2 for me.
Thank you to Ms. Elizabeth for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mary Elizabeth was born and raised in Southern California. She is a wife, mother of four beautiful children, and dog tamer to one enthusiastic Pit Bull and a prissy Chihuahua. She’s a hairstylist by day but contemporary fiction, new adult author by night.
Mary can often be found finger twirling her hair and chewing on a stick of licorice while writing and rewriting a sentence over and over until it’s perfect. She discovered her talent for tale-telling accidentally, but literature is in her chokehold. And she’s not letting go until every story is told.
