ABOUT THE BOOK
I’m not beautiful or skinny.
I’m hated.
Always second best.
I was given to Slavik Ivanov, a deadly, fearsome man in the Volkov Bratva. Married into the world of the Bratva, I have to learn to survive. My husband doesn’t pay me attention, but the longer he ignores me, the longer I’ll live.
Trouble is brewing in the Volkov Bratva. It’s dangerous, and I know it’s only a matter of time before I’m killed because I’m the stranger. The enemy.
Slavik doesn’t love me. I’m nothing more than a duty to him. I’m an obligation, but when he finally notices me, his touches set me on fire.
Does he know I’m loyal to him? Or will he believe the orchestrated lies and finally get rid of the wife he never wanted?
My life is in his hands, and I fear I will never be the same again.
MY REVIEW
Holy cow! I now understand the loving fandom for Sam Crescent. I couldn’t get enough of the broody Slavik and the rebellious Aurora.
This is a seductive story about an unwanted and insecure mafia daughter who is forced to marry a dangerous Bratva brigadier. The tumultuous and captivating relationship between them is addictive. The slow build to their first kiss is delectable and their final culmination is worth waiting for. Aurora’s compassionate nature is noteworthy, considering the hardships she has faced. Slavik’s possessiveness over his wife is both enticing and treacherous, for he kills anyone who threatens her. His transformation from a tough, no-nonsense Bratva killer to a loving partner is a true testament to the power of love.
Ms. Crescent’s characters are captivating and emotional. She writes heartbreak, suspense, and passion with great intensity and conviction making this book a must-read for fans of dark mafia romance. I look forward to reading more of her books.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
Follow Sam on her website, Facebook, Instagram, and Goodreads.
