MY REVIEW
I’m glad I was able to read this exciting trilogy of chaos in one fell swoop! This is the kind of slow-burn tale that grips you from the moment the protagonists trade insults and doesn’t let up until the last gasp of pleasure.
Rae “Little Queen” Madani is all kinds of fierce. She’s a sassy, bold, struggling DJ with a relatable side. She’s knee-deep in trauma and burnout after her career goes up in flames thanks to an explosive incident involving the oh-so-infuriating Harrison King at a wedding. The irony is that she ends up trying to rebuild her career in none other than her enemy’s luxurious club in Ibiza.
Harrison is an arrogant British billionaire who is a deliciously broody figure with a scar that carries more than just a story. He’s dead set on avenging his parents until he crosses paths with the gorgeous and fearless Rae, who totally changes everything. The tension between these two is palpable. Harrison tries his best to protect and control, all while Rae is pushing for her independence and healing.
The suspense of beating Harrison’s enemy is a thrilling and dangerous chase. But the story also has moments of vulnerability, growth, and found family that gave me the feels. It’s captivating to watch Rae discover her own power, while Harrison learns to release his controlling tendencies. The lovers have a happy ending with a satisfying epilogue. Something I can’t say about a lot of books lately.
This story is a messy journey, but it’s also deeply swoony and unforgettable. You’ll feel pain, happiness, and every moment of intimacy that will renew your belief in true love.
