This book is a thrill ride from beginning to end! Dr. Henry Steadman is on his way to speak at a medical conference and then play some golf with his friend. Little does he know that his life will change forever in 15 seconds. After arriving at his destination, he is pulled over for a minor vehicle infraction, he is rudely asked to step out of the car at gun point and frisked and handcuffed for no apparent reason. After his registration is called in, he is let go, but before he can start his car, another vehicle stops and a shooter kills the cop that pulled him over and drives away. Instead of staying with the officer and risk being arrested for murder, he decides to follow the shooter. And the story gets even more intense as it goes.
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. It’s a scenario that no one would ever want to be in and the choices Dr. Steadman makes may not be the best, but he is doing them for a very important reason. Does he find the shooter? Take the ride and see!
