Vanishing Point (Nikki Boyd Files #4) by Lisa Harris

Special Agent Garrett Addison is a criminal investigator for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and his first case is tracking a serial killer named the Angel Abductor with the help of his former love of his life, Jordan.

Special Agent Jordan Lambert is a criminal profiler from the FBI and is called in to help the TBI with their investigation of a serial killer who is murdering young girls.  She is happy to be coming home, but she doesn’t need the added distraction of Garrett in her life.

Jordan and Garrett had not seen each other for several years since Jordan left the police academy and Garrett to go to Quantico.  Little did they know they would be investigating the same serial killer over 10 long years while fighting their attraction every step of the way.

I really tried to like this story, but it was long and drawn out and I was waiting to read more about Nikki Boyd who the novel is named after.  In fact, she really isn’t a main character at all, but someone thrown in midway through the story and makes spotty appearances after that.  Also, the serial killer reveal was a let down for me.  I would not recommend this book to a friend.

Thank you to Ms. Harris, Revell Books, and LibraryThing’s Early Reviewers for giving me the opportunity review this book.
