It’s amazing what people tell you when they’re naked. I’ve heard all sorts of things.
Lucy is a massage therapist and prides herself at screening out the weirdos who try to get an appointment with her for lascivious reasons. So when she first meets Giles she is cautious but attracted to his quiet and forthright mannerisms. When her attraction turns into love, the warnings of her best friend Paula go unheeded until the unusual death of his wife a few years earlier brings doubts that she cannot ignore.
This is truly a suspenseful novel that kept me on edge throughout. It is told from 3 perspectives: Lucy, Giles, and Paula; and it’s interesting to experience the different personalities and how they perceive things individually. The characters are well developed and they are powerful, diverse and sometimes perilous to themselves or to others. Botha’s way of drawing you in, making you second guess yourself, and adding a surprising ending is skillful and cunning. An exciting first book in the Naked series and one I plan to continue. Highly recommend.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Karen Botha was born in Lincolnshire, England where her father was in the Royal Air Force. As a young girl she always had a passion for reading and writing, studying English Language before University.
Working most of her adult life in digital marketing didn’t leave her much time to pursue her passion for stories. But, at the age of 36 she retrained as a reflexologist and started working for herself. This helped her free up more than enough time to enjoy a re-found passion; writing.
Her first novel was inspired by the true life experiences of her clients. But don’t believe everything you read, she has more than enough imagination to catch you out with twist and turns galore.
She enjoys romance, travelling and motor sport, which also provide her inspiration for her books.
She currently lives in London with her husband and rescue dog, Shadow.
