MY REVIEW
Good grief, these Spade boys have it in spades! This is my second book in the Spade Hotel series and I love it! Cooper is not what she expected and Rowan is hiding a secret. It’s a battle of hearts with a happy ending.
Rowan Cole is my hero. She’s extremely smart and business savvy. I mean she opened four boutiques on her own and is now working for her very successful family hotel business. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and take accountability for deceiving Cooper about her identity. Yes, it was a bad idea, but she took a chance to spend three nights stranded in a snowstorm with a gorgeous man who rocked her world and made her feel special. She’s not an impulsive kind of girl and has never been in love, but there was something about Cooper that made her want more.
Cooper Spade is very confident and honest to a fault. As part of the Spade Hotel family, he knows how to charm his way through a business deal. So, when he meets the beautiful and intriguing Rowan, he wants her in his bed, but she ends up stealing his heart. Then her identity is revealed as a Cole. His family’s archenemies And if that isn’t enough, Cole International is being merged with Spade Hotels which means they will be working as partners. Over his dead body!
Rowan and Cooper are so good together. They aren’t afraid to go after what they want. Rowan’s persistence to keep Cooper close and convince him that she is worth fighting for is magnificent. She’s a smooth negotiator, but not manipulative. When Cooper is on board there is nothing that will keep them apart. Even their families. I love how he stands up for her as a professional and as the woman he loves. When there are personal struggles between them, they work it out with grace and thoughtfulness. In other words, they are grown-ups about it. A lesson their siblings need to learn.
The Cole and Spade families take some time to reach a friendly truce, but when they come together over a bittersweet occasion, it is heartwarming to see. I can’t wait to read Rhett’s story. I have a feeling it’s going to be a rollercoaster.
The love scenes are sensual, and the love story is captivating. If you are intrigued by strong characters and beautiful settings, you will love this engaging romance between two rebels. Book three, here I come!
