The Billionaire’s Christmas Castle (Trapper’s Cove #3) by Sadira Stone

ABOUT THE BOOK

His billions can’t buy what he craves most—her love.

Miserable amid the holiday madness, tech investor Michael Garwood escapes to Trappers Cove, the kitschy Washington beach town he loved as a child. All he needs is an ocean view, a crackling hearth, and solitude to figure out his career crisis. Is that too much to ask?

After too many painful snubs, vintage shop owner Annie Scott has learned to loathe snooty rich people, until Michael walks through her door. When the gorgeous grump bares his human side, Annie vows to cure his Christmas blues, and her own, with some small-town holiday fun—the perfect distraction from a decision she dreads.

When Michael’s deluxe accommodations flood, Annie persuades him to rent a quirky clifftop castle and host a Christmas party for the whole damn town. A mistletoe kiss sparks unexpected passion, but can a frustrated tycoon and a fiercely independent entrepreneur cross an ocean of differences to forge a love that lasts past the holidays?

MY REVIEW

Yes, folks, I’ve done it again. Christmas in July is a theme for me this year.  I was delighted to return to the charming town of Trappers Cove with its quirky businesses and even quirkier characters. It’s refreshing to see main characters who are not your typical twenty-somethings chasing love; rather, we meet two people in their 50s who’ve weathered the storms of love and relationships.

Michael Garwood is a hardworking venture capitalist who’s at a crossroads in his business. Annie Scott is the charming owner of a quirky antique store in Trappers Cove. When fate brings them together, it’s as if a light bulb goes off for both of them. Their unexpected meeting unfolds new possibilities, showing that life is still full of surprises even when you think you have it all figured out.

Michael’s self-reflection about his life is an important change for him as he figures out what truly matters. In the end, I respect his choice to remain true to his principles. Annie has crafted a life filled with color and character, and she has learned to embrace her unique path. Her candidness to life and her values is refreshing.

What I really loved about this book is the deep exploration of trust and second chances. Annie and Michael both have baggage to unpack, and they slowly learn to let go of their pasts and open their hearts to what could be. The characters are wonderfully crafted, and the dialogue flows effortlessly, pulling you into their journey.

If you’re looking for a heartwarming read that captures the essence of love, renewal, and festive cheer, this Christmas romance is a perfect choice. So grab this book and dive into this delightful story that reminds us all of the magic that can happen at any stage of life.

Thank you to Ms. Stone for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
